Tees: Equipment You Happen to Wash
A tee is the most worn item you own, so we treat it like equipment. Our surf tees are cut from soft, durable cottons in fits that survive both the wash and the years, with artwork from the Vissla creative bench rather than a clip art folder.
This is the everyday range: the tee for the dawn check at Ericeira, the drive, the airport, the bar. Buy several. You were going to anyway. When the wind picks up, the long sleeves are one click over, and the heavyweight versions are for the connoisseurs.
How to Choose a Tee
Start with fit, because fit is the entire difference between a tee and a regret. Ours run true with a slightly relaxed body and a shoulder seam that sits where shoulders are. Then choose your weight: lighter jersey for Mediterranean heat, midweight for everything else Europe throws at a year. Graphics or blanks is a personality question we cannot answer for you, but the artwork comes from actual artists in the surf world, so the graphic option is safer here than most places.
What Is in the Range
Everyday surf tees in organic and standard cottons, printed and plain, alongside pocket tees and washed finishes for people who like their clothes pre-loved. The everyday range is the volume play: honest fabric, honest price, colors that work with boardshorts in July and under flannel in November. If you want heavier fabric or knit texture, the premium tees and knit tees collections are one click sideways.
Why Vissla
Most surf tees are merchandising. Ours are clothing first and a billboard second, which is why people who have never surfed the Basque coast wear them anyway. The cotton is chosen to age well, the prints are chosen to not embarrass you in three years, and the cut is chosen to look right whether the tee is new or has survived forty washes and two summers.
It is a tee. We still overthought it. You are welcome.
