Eco Collection: Performance Without the Apology

Surfers depend on a functioning ocean, which makes wasteful surf gear a strange proposition. The Vissla Eco Collection takes the position that performance and responsibility are not rivals: boardshorts from recycled bottles, tees from organic cotton, wetsuits in natural rubber, and fabrics spun from upcycled coconut husks, which sounds invented and is not.

This is eco surf clothing you would buy on looks alone. The materials story is the bonus, not the apology.

How to Choose Eco Surf Clothing

Read the materials, not the marketing. Vissla's eco range is built on specifics. Cocotex is yarn made from upcycled coconut husks, blended into tees and boardshorts where it adds natural odor resistance and dries fast. Recycled polyester, spun from post-consumer plastic, does the stretch-and-recover work in boardshorts. Organic cotton skips the pesticides. Hemp shows up in wovens because it is nearly indestructible and gets softer with every wash. And the natural rubber wetsuits replace conventional neoprene with plant-derived rubber, cutting the petroleum out of staying warm.

      What Is in the Range

Upcycled boardshorts, organic and Cocotex tees, hemp-blend shirts, recycled fleece, and the natural rubber wetsuit program for everything from Mediterranean summers to a 10°C morning on the Atlantic coast. The range covers a full surf wardrobe without conventional shortcuts.

      Why Vissla

Vissla has run upcycled and eco-conscious materials since day one. Not as a side project, as the default. The bet is simple: if the gear is good enough, nobody has to choose between surfing well and leaving the coast the way they found it.

The ocean keeps the receipts. Shop accordingly.
